 | | Installation Error-5009 | | | Question | | | I received an Installation Error-5009: 0x8002802b while running setup. I rebooted and turned AVG antivirus off, but the error still occured. | | Answer | We did some research regarding receiving a 5009 error code during an installation process.
This is what we found: This is usually due to an older version of the installation software on your machine.
To successfully complete the installation process, please follow the steps below:
1-Open the folder located at C:\Program Files\Common Files.
2-Locate a folder called Installshield.
3-Right click on the folder and click the option "Rename."
4-Rename the folder to something like "Installshield_OLD."
